Privacy Policy
Last updated 4 August 2026
This policy explains what the DeBruycker Charolais mobile app (“the app”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, and the choices you have. It covers the iOS and Android app. Questions or requests: support@debruyckercharolais.com.
- The only personal information we collect is the name and email address you enter if you sign up for auction updates.
- Your favourites and settings stay on your device — we never receive them.
- We use no advertising, no analytics or tracking, and no location data.
- We do not sell your information.
What we collect, and why
Information you give us
If you sign up for auction updates in the app, we collect the name and email address you enter, so we can send those updates and manage your subscription. You don’t need to sign up to browse the app.
Crash reports (only if you choose)
If the app closes unexpectedly, it may offer to send an error report the next time you open it. If you agree, the report is sent from your own email app to our support address and contains a technical log to help us fix the problem — no personal information is included. Sending it is entirely your choice.
Stored only on your device
Your favourited lots and app settings are saved locally on your phone. They are not transmitted to us or anyone else.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics. The app requests only internet access, to load the catalogue.
Other services the app uses
- YouTube (Google). Herd Sires videos play through YouTube. When a video loads, Google may receive information such as your device and IP address and may set cookies, under Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not control that processing.
- Hosting (Railway). The catalogue and your subscription details are served and stored on infrastructure provided by Railway, acting on our behalf as a service provider.
How we use and share information
We use the information above to operate the app, send the updates you asked for, respond to your messages, and fix problems. We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers that run the app for us (above), or where required by law.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your name and email for as long as you are subscribed to updates. You can ask us to delete your information at any time — email support@debruyckercharolais.com and we will remove it from our systems. You can also ask what information we hold about you.
Security
Information sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and we take reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Children
The app is intended for a general, adult audience of auction participants. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Where information is processed
We operate from the United States, and information is processed there. By using the app you understand that your information may be processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version, and continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
